LET'S TALK SHOP YOUR CUSTOMER DISPLAY ADVANTAGE

 

ORGANIZED

 

Being organized means using a structured system that allows you to find everything you need when you need it and you get everything done when it's due.

Create a filing system that is easily accessible. Create the following files and trays.


TRAYS


To Do: This folder should contain all data that requires a response and essentially be completed within a day or two. 

To Forward: This data should include those things that need to be passed along to someone else.
 
To Read: This data should simply contain non–priority  data that you are interested in. If you do not have the immediate time, then file in your "Consider" main folder.

FILE FOLDERS

File all other data at once in appropriate folders. Create Main Folders and Subfolders.

Examples:

1. Main Folder "Suppliers"
Subfolder - Glass
Subfolder - Ribbon
Subfolder - Wood
 
2.  Main Folder "Gift Shows"
Month Subfolder: February
 
3. Main Folder "Paid Bills"
Subfolder - January
Subfolder - February
etc.
 
4. Main Folder "Receipts"
Subfolder - January
Subfolder - February
etc.
  
5. Main Folder "Consider"
Subfolder - Giftware
Subfolder - Display Tips
Subfolder - Classes
 
PUT ORGANIZATION AT THE TOP OF YOUR LIST THIS YEAR. 

 

DO SOMETHING SPECIAL!

 

Do something special for your customer. Create freebies to give to your customers. A way of saying thank you for your business.

Examples


1. Mini Sachets: Cut Squares of Cheese cloth add one rounded tablespoon of potpourri and tie up the bundle with jute string or ribbon. Add a mini tag with your thank you  message and your shop's information.
 
2. Create Discount Cards
 
3. Have a tea, cider or coffee service available for your shopping customers.
 
4. Free Craft Class with purchases of $50.00 or more.
  
5. Free Daisy with a bow tied around it and a note of appreciation with your shops name and number.
 
6. Free notepads with your shops name and number at the bottom of the pads.
 
7. Free heart magnets with your shops name and number.

8. Mini cider bundles: Cut Squares of Cheese cloth add one rounded tablespoon of cider mix  and tie up the bundle with white butchers string. Add a mini tag with directions for brewing on one side and your thank you message and shop information on the other side.

 
Remember that by creating customer appreciation incentives, you are setting your shop's standards above the rest.

JANUARY IDEAS

 

All sale merchandise should be clearly marked with bold sale stickers or clearly legible signs. Do not mislead your  customer or you may never see them again.
