and mustards are used to create the body colors. Tole painting

Watermelon
I collect watermelons and this is my favorite pick! Of
course it is hand painted like a watermelon. The details include a
wire bow and a bite chunk to the top right or left. Rough sanded
and stained.

Burgundy Bird
Our cardinal has raffia bow and button detailing on it's tail.
Rough sanded and stained for the rustic country style look. Living
close to St. Louis in my early years, made this bird a must in our
pick collection.

Rooster
A customer request brought about the creation of our rooster pick.
The feathering is done with a heavy layering of paint. The stain
overlay creates a grungy white appearance and brings out the
details of the feathering.
